As you might have guessed SIB stands for “simple is best”. It features familiar three control knobs for sound control but each has unique functions making any tone possible.
WHY TWO PICKUP SYSTEM
Most people think about the under saddle piezo pickup when purchasing acoustic electric guitar. But single piezo pickup alone cannot capture all the tone and amplify the natural acoustic sound truly. This is why many professional players prefer the sound hole pickup.
Although the sound hole pickup has some advantages over the piezo, it cannot produce the acoustic sound that piezo can replicate.
Knob 1 : pickup blend knob
Turned counterclockwise all the way would bring her internal mic level to 0 and the piezo pickup at constant maximum of level 10. When turned clockwise the mic level gain goes up, the piezo will be same at constant level 10. When turned all the way clockwise the mic level will be 10 and piezo pickup at constant level 10. Piezo pickup and mic pickup level will be as follows as the knob is turned clockwise. 10:0 10:1 10:2….. 10:8 10:9 10:10
Knob 2 : Volume knob
The volume level controls the output of the mic and piezo pickup source together.
Knob 3 : EQ Searcher
The only pickup functions that you can get from Zebra 7. When the knob us turned clockwise treble and mid level rises and bass level reduces. When the knob is turned counterclockwise the bass level rises and the treble level reduces. When you hear the tone change by operating the preamp the player will see the value and dynamic tone control that is possible with this feature. Volume level controls the output of the mic and piezo pickup source together.
